Finding the right combination

I see some of the same problems we had last year. We have several that can score and several that can play defense.The problem is we have too few that can do.both.
We continually have opposing players that get by our defense and when help comes they kick it out for a wide open 3.Thats continual.
Herb, Rojas, and Gary played well last night. Most nights against really good teams they will not score enough to carry the night.They bust their tails on defense and I know
they deserve minutes. We must have Petty, Shack, and JQ to score, but they give up too much on defense. Primo is going to be good, but he is still a baby.
Bruner has to step up and be tougher. If we dont put all that together in some fashion, we will win some and lose some and end up around even. We will see how much this team
WANTS to win in the next few weeks. I love Coach and we have to find the right intensity and basketball skills to make this work.

those are the starters. You cannot have JQ and Shack on the floor at the same time but the numbers were fantastic when Herb played PG. that’s when I saw the offense take off. All 5 can shoot from deep and play defense.

Agree with all of this except the point about Petty on defense. He’s an exceptional defender. JQ and Shack are both sub par and they will always hurt us on that end of the floor.

Same. Herb loses the ball so much when he drives. I hate him bringing the ball up
