i usually don`t like to listen to him but he was dead on what he said about pippen flopping, got to get it out of the game.
True. I'll give him that, but for most of the game he was praising Pippen ad nauseum.i usually don`t like to listen to him but he was dead on what he said about pippen flopping, got to get it out of the game.
He should be praising Pippen. He had an outstanding game. Bama made runs when he was out taking breaks.True. I'll give him that, but for most of the game he was praising Pippen ad nauseum.
Welp, you have your opinion and I have mine. I did not say Pippen played poorly. The gist of my response is that Fishback made his point about Pippen's abilities repetitively and for me it became really old...real fast.He should be praising Pippen. He had an outstanding game. The flopping SUCKS for the game of basketball. It’s one thing to draw a charge but for the signature move of your game to be pretending you got punched in the gut/side/head/face by mike Tyson is extremely annoying and awful to watch. If that game didn’t involve my team I would have turned to something else.In spite of his having played at the barn I don't mind Fishback most of the time. He as 100% on the mark on this. On the play he called out it was obvious Pippen was pushing it as far as he thought he could to keep going to the free throw line. Fish even pointed out something Saban gets panned for saying about football "is this what we want football to be?" by questioning is this what we want to watch with basketball.
I was glad that someone called out how ridiculous the flopping had gotten with Pippen as the game tried to grind down. It makes the game hard to watch when you see a college player that is capable of completely wrecking a game when officials are willing to call everything. He could give world cup soccer players tips on initiating and drawing contact and then acting like something awful happened. Vandy's whole plan seemed to be get Pippen the ball and let him find someone to run into so he gets free throws.
However, I thought the worst flop of the game was when their center drew the 4th foul (I think it was 4th) on Bediako. They were each doing what post players do when they get to the paint. Slam into each other a bit to establish position. But Robbins flopped sideways like the much smaller and less physical Bediako had thrown a massive body check into him capable of knocking him off the court. Bediako is dumbfounded like "all I did was hold my position?".
Fish does tend to run his mouth when he should just talk about the game but all of the SECN basketball analysts are bad about that. Bradshaw I sometimes mute and get the radio call going. He'll get in a Pearl/UT reference in every 5 minutes or less and has that punchable cocky fratboy vibe that is annoying to listen to.
Imo the worst call was against Rojas. Literally standing in perfect position for a full 3 seconds and pippen drove in out of control and just ran straight into himIn spite of his having played at the barn I don't mind Fishback most of the time.
