Can't wait to watch the game tonight .... great stories abound ... I really like both teams. If like me you grew up as a baseball fan the series has been great.
Story about Corey Kluber who will start tonight for Cleveland. He was living and playing golf at the same club I am a member of. We would see him around half the year and he would come up and play golf and they would just pair him up or he and a buddy would join another 2some. He would play golf at our club and another a few miles down the road .. and very few had a clue who he was. He did this for 2 or 3 years prior to anyone knowing who the heck he was or what he did. The pros at the club said a buddy would book times for them and he would never try and get a free round etc ... just a normal guy. By the time we knew who he was he moved, not sure where, after he won the Cy Young ... moved out of the projects and into the big time I am sure. (G) He played in our group once or twice .. good golfer, good guy, but I had no clue he was a MLB player.
Ran into to many sports stars who think they should be given everything and this guy is one of the best in his sport and he keeps it to himself. Not unusual for some people to live here half the year ... even young people.
