GAME THREAD: No. 7 Alabama vs. Kentucky

During a pregame interview with Crimson Tide Sports Network, Nate Oats said Dom Welch has been looking more explosive in practice: “If we’ve got him and Quinerly back to playing to their potential, this team has a chance to be pretty dangerous.”

Kentucky always offensive rebounds so well. If we can just find a way to limit that.

Alabama 14, Kentucky 11 | 11:40, H1

After a fast start, Alabama has made just one of its last seven shots and hasn't made a field goal in 4:43

They’ve swatted out shots like little kids about 3 times.
Bama players need to use pump fakes and get the defender in the air first. There's a few guys that just drive, then get to deep under the goal and throw something up instead of looking for contact.

Scrappy performance from Mark Sears so far, he has a team-high four rebounds and three assists for Alabama with 9:36 left in the half.

Bradley has to shoot the 3 better. Kentucky has backed off a dated him to at times. JQ’s
Minutes are big today.

Played fantastic defense the first half. Some of best defense played by Bama all year.
Bama usually plays a better 2nd half than 1st half.
If this team still has its best basketball out there in front of them, they gonna be really special.

Does every team go through scoring droughts every game like we do?

Alabama 43, Kentucky 27 | 15:42, H2

Mark Sears is putting together his best performance in an Alabama uniform. He has 8 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Not surprised. Saw him in high school. He’s a basketball player. But he didn’t jump high enough and dunk it cool enough for AJ.
Huntsville produces some well coached bball players .
.
He’s a really fun player to watch because he plays hard.

Too good to be labeled a “glue” player but that fits him

JQ is starting to settle back in and as I’m typing this he gets a technical right in front of the ref that was warning him. Stupid.
