The new goaltending review, officials love to do, needs to seriously be looked at next year. I am fine with the review, but it needs to be reviewed, right then and there.
Yesterday, two different games(Alabama & A&M- UK and Aubie), defender blocked the shot, out of bounds, goaltending was called. So, they gave the ball to A&M.
If the review, 3 minutes later would’ve been overturned, that means Alabama/Auburn(Offensive team) is being penalized for nothing and losing a possession and points.
I am fine with reviewing the call, to get it right, but the offense shouldn’t be penalized by the rule. Both games I saw it in, didn’t affect the final, as Alabama won by 25, Auburn lost by 10+, but could be an issue come tournament time, in a game that does matter.
