I did a bit of research on the QBs whose teams have beat us since 2008. And it has raised my confidence considerably that Greyson Lambert just may not be the type of QB that can defeat us unless he gets great games from his offensive line and also the Georgia RB's.
Since 2008, the following QBs have played a significant role in our defeats. I have also included comments about their foot speed, running ability, and passing accuracy in the game against us.
2008 SEC Championship: Tim Tebow, 4.7 forty, 235 pounds, excellent running ability and very hard to sack due to his size and running ability. Tebow established himself as a run threat early in the game in the spread option which set up the intermediate and long passing game in the 3rd and 4th quarters to lead Florida to the win.
2008 Sugar Bowl: Brian Johnson, 4.7 forty with excellent passing ability. Although he was not a run threat, he was quite elusive in evading the rush. The first true HUNH that we faced in a critical game. We were barraged with scripted passes / routes with no ability to defensively substitute as Utah ran up a 21 - 0 score before we could get our bearings.
2010 USCe Game: Again, Stephen Garcia got on the roll with consecutive scripted passing plays in a hurry up mode to negate our defensive substitutions. He showed that he was very tough to sack when we decided to rush. Again, we fell behind by three touchdowns. Marcus Lattimore then topped off the win for USCe with excellent running.
2010 LSU Game: In a game where we lost by "trickeration plays", Jordan Jefferson, 4.6 forty, proved (in at least this game) to be evasive. He got on a "Hot" passing streak to pass LSU to victory. His mobility (at least in this game) negated our pass rush.
2010 Auburn Game: Cam Newton, 4.5 forty, 6'5", 255 pounds had a tough time and he was contained in the first half. He accurate arm and mobility to evade our continued rush (plus Mark Barron's pectoral injury) played a big role in auburn's 2nd half success in getting the win.
2011 LSU Regular Season Game: Mike Ford's run won that game for LSU and the QB situation is not worth mentioning. His (Jefferson's) play was neutral in that game.
2012 TAMU Game: The epitome of a mobile QB and the HUNH offense beating the Bama team. Johnny Manziel, 4.54 forty at NFL combine, gave our DL and LBs fits for four quarters. He made numerous plays off of his ability to scramble and extend the play.
2013 Auburn Game: another very mobile QB and excellent runner, Nick Marshal, 4.4 forty, had runs that were very instrumental in Auburn's win. He evaded the pass rush in this game and made plays off of his scrambling ability.
2013 Sugar Bowl: Trevor Knight, 4.6 forty, extended plays with his scrambling and running ability combined with very adequate passing accuracy. He played a terrific game above the norm performance of moist of his games, but his feet kept his team in the game.
2014 Ole Miss Game: Bo Wallace, a decent runner, did extend plays and take advantage of his primary target's, Treadwell, height and leaping ability.
2015 College Football Playoff: Ohio State QB Cardale Jones, show excellent running ability to help Ohio State's passing game and the performance from running back Ezekiel Elliott.
2015 Ole Miss Game: Chad Kelly, excellent athlete, competitor, passer, and quick footed and strong runner was a tough QB to handle. We did get to him with a pass rush in the 4th quarter.

So how does Greyson Lambert add up to possibly defeating Bama with his QB play. His mean forty time according to NFL.com draft information is 4.98. His high forty time is 5.14. He is slower than most offensive left tackles, let alone DLs and LB's. So, we win by pressuring this slow QB and he will fold under that pressure. We must have well-disguised blitzes from all angles to include the middle, cross stunts, and edge rush in passing situations. I do believe that we can contain Chubb and company. We just cannot let this QB throw without pressure and take advantage of his accuracy unhindered. Let him see the rage of Bama's defense.
