For years Alabama Schools have been hurt by the failure to possess an education lottery. When a program is dependent on minority athletes, and your schools are at a financial disadvantage due to NIL, your University and State must offer something in addition to money. A university needs to be a welcoming place, where each and every student can get the education the student might desire..

The Legislature needs to let the educators teach and they need to think about the interest of the people of Alabama and not their contributors. I’m sorry, but I want Politics out of education. I couldn’t give a darn about DEI, African American Studies, or other Minority programs, as I only cared about Economics. I still only care about economics and if something is bad for athletics, it is bad for economics. If you don’t believe me, look at the names on our basketball and football rosters.

The Legislature need to get politics out of education, both ways.
