I first heard this song as a teenager working in Big B pharmacy. It came on a few times and I found myself singing it. I wanted the song so badly and this was before the internet so I couldn't download it. Tried to record it on tape but the DJ kept talking over it. Went to the record store and bought the whole Eagles album for just that one song. Played it religiously. Can you imagine the looks I got riding thru the hood playing this? I use to get laughs at first, until one night I was sitting on my car. I played about 30 times back to back. When I stopped, people in the hood were like "Turned that back on!!!".
My favorite part of that song and people I know agree to this as well......it the guitar at the end of the song. I think it's Glenn Frey? The man is talking to my soul with that damn guitar. That solo is so mesmerizing. Ever liked a song you felt like you weren't suppose to like it, but you did?
