From what you know right today- What do you think our starting five will be next year and who will be the next five?
Thanks for your opinion.
Thanks for your opinion.
Thanks for the opinion--Think I would rather have Ellis instead of Gary.Been thinking it over today. I could see
Quinerly
Davison
Primo
Gary
Tchikou
Ellis
Shack
Bediako
Wilson
Miles
I’ve decided Gary has to be a starter... he’s just a monster inside. Does everything right...Thanks for the opinion--Think I would rather have Ellis instead of Gary.
I would guess Ellis and Primo exchange minutes. With significant playing time Gary is a double-double machine next season. Thanks for the opinion--Think I would rather have Ellis instead of Gary.
Different positions. Ellis/primo will be interchangeableThanks for the opinion--Think I would rather have Ellis instead of Gary.
So you guys are saying our leading scorer and starter the last two years (Shaq) does not crack the starting lineup? Shenanigans😒😒
How is JD as an outside shooter? With that starting 5 we’d be fairly limited from beyond the arc, maybe? That’s the only reason I think Shack starts. This will be the toughest starting 5 I can predict and I love it. Up and down the roster, there are 8-10 guys that I can see become starters. It will all depend on development over the summer and how the freshmen are. Here are MY starting 5 to start the season based on what I know about these guys and how I think they'll develop.
1) JQ
2) JD Davison
3) Primo
4) Gary
5) Tchikou
Now, I am extremely back and forth on Shack or JD starting. Shack has the experience and is a better shooter and its probably best JD comes off the bench to give another ball handler to replace JQ when he goes out, but I will go with JD's elite athleticism, speed, and passing ability. It won't hurt to have to elite PG's on the floor at the same time. However, I can definitely see JD starting out on the bench to get acclimated, this is just what I would do.
Second Unit:
Shack
Ellis
Burnett(?)
Wilson
Bediako (?)
Oats has a good problem to have next season.
He's about a 30-35% shooter in high school, but didn't shoot it much because he could get to the rim whenever he wanted. JQ and Primo are very good shooters, JD can be above average, Tchikou will be about like Reese in terms of efficiency early on I think. Gary is just not very good at all shooting but is the best rebounder on the team. I think that starting 5 will be plenty adequate shooting the ball. How is JD as an outside shooter?
