we will be ranked around 7 or 8 in the ap poll. more than likely projected as a 1 seed. we will have the chance to run the table in the sec with our toughest games left against arkansas and auburn which we have already beat. unbeliveable the job coach oats has done in the short period of time that he has been here. roll tide

It does seem that can happen. Just need to keep winning. Also it doesn’t hurt after Saturday if Missouri, Florida, Arkansas and Tennessee keeping winning or anyone I guess that we’ve played twice. Just can’t say or pull for LSU or Auburn. We can still keep a #1 if we keep winning, but never hurts to have the conference get in 5-6 teams. In the end I think SEC gets 4 in now which is 1 more than I thought early in the season and could get 5.

I watch a lot of college basketball and I just don’t see how we are a #1 seed. I think the best possible finish is a #2 seed with a #3 seed being more likely. I’d rather us feel disrespected with not being rated as high and give the team some motivation going into the tourney.
Neither do I. Great season- no doubt. Bama is a top 10-14 team. Not too 4. That is just silly.
Have you seen the rest of the teams? It’s basically Gonzaga and Baylor then everyone else. After those 2, there’s 5-7 teams that could get those two #1 seeds. Just a lot of parity this season.
look, there is a lot of balance in the SEC right now. We have road games at Mississippi State, Arkansas and Missouri, with a good Auburn team at the end of the season. Georgia, South Carolina and aTm are capable of giving us a good game and Vandy has even played well at times this season. Yes, most of our hard games are in the rear view mirror, but if you believe all we have to do is put on the uniform and line up against the eight teams we have in front of us, you are going to be disappointed. Now we are going to get Bruner back, probably in the next two weeks; however, he has to get into playing shape.
The only thing that I know for sure right now is we are going to have a winning conference season. We have a team that is capable of winning all of the games by more than 20 points or losing them all if we don't shoot well. It is February and I am a long time Bama Basketball fan. #7 Ohio State beat #8 Iowa last night. We will be moving up if we win tomorro.
Best thing for Bama will be Bruner coming back. Don't overlook Gary as he continues to improve from ACL surgery down the stretch, as well Reese who had hip surgery this past off season.

My opinion: we would give Gonzaga fits with our athleticism and length at every position. I would much rather face them than Baylor, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, or Texas.
While I agree we would give them fits, they’re arguably the best basketball team I’ve seen play on several years. Their PG Jalen Suggs is a machine.
Gonzaga has recruited like Nick Saban the last few years. They have stars at every position. It would be the last team I would like to see us play. I think we could hold our own for a while but they are really talented, big and savvy.
I could very well be wrong... I just feel like they beat up on Pepperdine and company all year and they’d be a bit she’ll shocked by our defense. I’ve watched Baylor and UM and I believe both teams are on another level than us.
According to the 24/7 composite rankings, Gonzaga has only finished the the top 60 in recruiting rankings in 2 of the last 4 years. They were 6th in 2020 and 13th in 2019. For 2017 and 2018 they were ranked 120th and 69th, respectively. In contrast, we ranked 8th in 2017, 24th in 2018, 21st in 2019, and 12th in 2020. Gonzaga's current class sits at 74, while ours is at 17.
