I looked up Juwan Gary and it says he’s 6 foot 6 Is that a typo? He plays the biggest 6 foot 6I think I’ve seen lately. I thought he was at least 6‘8 and maybe 6’10?

Gary reminds me of two former greats of the game, Wes Unseld and Charles Barkley. Neither of them had the height you would think; however, both had unbelievable size and could control the game. Gary is just a youngster and at this stage he does not realize how good he can be. I suspect that during the off season they will work on his shooting and he will get even stronger.

This young man has star written all over him.

I especially like his hustle up and down the court...and he's not afraid to block a shot! He also shoot FTs well.

I was wondering how tall he was because last night he was behind the Terp and reached over him to the get the rebound. Usually, this results in an over the back foul but it looked clean.

I noticed that too. That 7-0 wingspan makes up the difference in height; although, 6-6" is no midget.

Gary could have played ball in the old days. He’s a man. Can’t say that for all these dude these days.
Nope these guys to athletic nowadays, they play ball year round. The skill level and advanced weight training of these guys would destroy us old timers that played 30 years ago.

So he couldn’t have played in the old days bc he’s too athletic?
The point was, he could have played in the old days when it was physical and nasty.

Barkley’s success, I understand more because he‘s big around. The girth creates space.

Not sure anybody ever so Barkley playing college much less played against him at times like I did. He was a unique and generational talent

I saw plenty of Barkley playing college ball, there are very few like him. At 6'4' he could out rebound guys much taller because of his wide body with a strong foundation and good footwork.

Barkley was overweight at Auburn but when he got to the NBA he dropped 40+ lbs and played at 250. He was extremely quick for his size and could leap.

Thinking on this.. Imagine Gary being 6-6 and playing like that and then having Frenchie coming down the lane at 6-11 and his added weight, its gonna be fun to watch if it all gels like it should..
