We low ball Davidson's coach so that he can get a raise. Then we go after Frank Vogel.
What a loss for College basketball in Wrights stepping away from the game. In my opinion he is one of the Top Four or Five coaches in all of college basketball. Man can Coach!
Any Alabama who wouldn't take Jay Wright over Oats must be related to Oats.

I still don’t get the lack of respect for CNO. Headcoach for 7 years and been to the dance 5 times. I think that compares favorably to many of the coaches on the list above. He is still learning as well. I like Wright and hate he is leaving at such a young age (60). I think he does it the right way. I think ,CNO does it the right way also.
Glad he could walk away and still have time to enjoy his life. It’s hard for these guys to let go. He’s been as good as anyone for awhile now.

Jay Wright is a great coach. Bet all this NIL garbage and transfer portal ridiculousness played a role in him handing it up. Do not blame him at all.
I was wondering about this as well. I haven't seen any indication yet of there being a reason beyond he was simply ready to be out of coaching.
He was held up as the example of the coach that can still "do it right" and build a team through recruiting and coaching in spite of the chaos and noise currently around the sport. One year into NIL and the portal and he's retiring.

You’ve come back with this a few times. I’m sure you realize no one is saying you hate him personally. But, since 99% of what you say about him is critical, you hate him as our coach.

I don't even hate him as Bama’s coach. I've said many times before that if he can get past his own ego and stop acting as if his system doesn't need to be improved.
