So we should feel good that we only lost by 2 to Western Kentucky? That powerhouse known as GardnerWebb played them within 2 as well, but they actually scored 84
against them. We had to scratch and claw just to break 70. We’re not a very good basketball team right now in any area. We don’t defend, rebound, or shoot well.

Last year we start 2-4. We're 5-3 !and look much better than this point last year. Kiss petty goodbye and honestly nobody will care

Unless this dramatically changes JD will choose a route to the NBA other than a stop in Tuscaloosa. I believe there are some good players on this team but we would be better off to kick some of the current players to the curb and I would start with Petty and Rojas.

I personally believe this is an incredibly false statement over jd. He has a great connection 1 another recruit and is great friends with 2 players that will be here next year. People forget how bad the team was last year at this point. Way worse honestly. 2-4 I believe.

But I agree with the petty comment. If anything happened I imagine Rojas backed the coach. They are actually close.

I agree JD will be in Tuscaloosa next year. Although, petty and Oats are pretty close too. I’m m very curious as to what happened.

I don’t think for a second just because the team hasn’t played well yet means JD is going to not want to play here. I don’t think that’s how players think. Especially guys with the talent that JD has. I think he’s probably looking at what’s going on with us so far and see’s an immediate opportunity for playing time for himself. Gotta remember Oats and staff have been on JD for a long time. That builds a lot of trust and a good relationship between player and coach. If anything, Oats will probably use this year to prove to JD that we need him and how much of a difference he can make. Just my thoughts. Just because some fans on here are ready to punt on this team after 8 games doesn’t mean commits/future commits feel the same. I could be wrong of course but I really don’t think I am.
