Any of you guys remember Joey Bolton? He was on the freshman team, I believe the year was 1972.
He was to be in a package with two other high school teammates. One was Rick McClain and the other was Liston Eddins. Coach Bryant spoke at their sports banquet. He really wanted Liston, but Liston went into hiding on signing day and signed with Auburn. Joey was dismissed from the team after the freshmen season. Rick finished his career at Bama. Liston finished his at Auburn. Liston's two sons played at Auburn. Ye old guys might remember. Rick died of cancer a couple years ago. Just curious in my golden years.
