John Petty will play summer league with the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons have liked him all summer, but John had some tough luck. Oats said he hurt his knee during workouts and had to rehab, but had two deaths in his family so that prevented him from rehabbing. Best of luck to John!

I'm glad he has this opportunity as well. I like this move for Petty with the Pistons. They need outside shooting and Petty can provide that in spades. I think he has a great chance to make the roster and earn some playing time there.
