The problem (not that we’re playing bad or there’s a huge issue) is that we have a McDonald’s All American at PG who is a non-factor. When we were at our best JQ was scoring and keeping the defense off balance with his ball handling and vision. Right now he can barely see the court because of turnovers. For this team to excel he absolutely has to play better.

Jay Wright at Villanova probably figured that out too. He has had good games but was a complete non factor today.!

Turnovers and his lack of defense is what has him on the pine. I think sooner of later he will get out his own head and start playing better, the team needs a true PG who can create for himself and others.

This team won't reach it's full potential unless JQ gets our of this funk. Down the stretch in close games, you have to have a PG that can break things down and get a shot for himself or create for others. JQ can do both of those....we need it.

Couldn’t agree more! Just pointing out that during our dominant run there JQ was really, really playing. Well. He’s been a non-factor the last few games and we need him to return to form

Said earlier that when he rewatches the game he’ll notice quite a few times he had a chance to turn the corner off the screen. He didn’t and fell back, but if he had pressed into the lane that’s when the defense collapses and the offense is at its best. If someone with his ability isn’t getting into the lane it’s a mental thing. He’s either not healthy and is pressing not wanting to get abused in the lane or doesn’t trust his eyes. I don’t know which one of those I hope it is because both can be a tough hurdle to get over.
