The more I’ve heard since the visit has been announced, the more I hear the Indiana staff is upset that he’s visiting and very nervous.
Talked to a couple IU guys and they think Bama leads as well so that’s starting to sway me as well
I think watching film of Clowney and his freedom in this offense would be really beneficial to bama landing him
IU doesn't have the overall team athleticism nor the coach to make the program any better than its been for a long time now.
The offense being on national display this year with the correct players in position to be successful will be a huge tool for the coaches this portal season. When you think about the normal year or two it takes to cycle from the success of a run the portal is now evening this out where the teams can say look what we did come on in.

I’ve been told the Ware visit has been cancelled. I’m sure the Indiana staff put pressure on him to do so and the Pett news was probably the main reason. He was the one who reached out and recruited Ware

there are lots of reasons a player goes one place or the other. Pett may have just tipped the scales in a tough decision.
I think it’s more of the uncertainty of who the assistants would be. It’s really tough for a player to pick a school where you only know one coach.
Well dang. I had my hopes up on Ware. He would have been the ideal replacement for Clowney IMO. It's been a tough couple of weeks for our basketball program. Lost in the sweet sixteen, all 3 assistant coaches left, lost 2 good players to the portal, and the only transfer addition we have picked up is ranked #73 of available portal players. I'm ready for some good news.

Still going to be a top 6/7 seed in the tournament and likely top 4 in the SEC.
If I recall a prospect entering the portal is allowed to take 5 visits. Why not take those? Visit Bama and if you don't like it then go to IU. If I were a transfer and the staff at my top school didn't want me to take my visits despite not being committed that would send up a big red flag for me.
Ware would definitely like Tuscaloosa better and the offensive freedom he'd get to shoot the three won't be offered at IU.
It’s about getting assistant coaches in here that makes these players in the portal feel like their path is better at Alabama than anywhere else. That means opening up the purse and pay for the best coaching staff in college basketball. Oats ideals need to evolve just like Nick Saban has evolved. The way to do this is the same as Saban. Get the brightest minds hired on staff. That’s more than a chicken coop building. That’s paying for the smartest, best recruiting staff in college basketball.
