Kentucky recruting

How in the world does UK have the number 3-4-5-7 and 22nd recruits for 2023. . We have the number 42.
This does not look good I’m comparison to what we are doing this season. We need to get the checkbooks out.

I know Kentucky is one of the few blue bloods, but it does seem off that there is this HUGE difference in recruiting ranking’s between the two of us.

Cal will get them in there and coach them up to get beat by a far less superior team in the tournament.

One thing i have noticed is that if you start 5 McDonalds All Americans you don't have a role player. Saying that we are starting 2 and I would love to see us start 2 every year. You don't want a team that everyone wants to be the star. That may have been a bit of a problem in UK's situation. If everyone is doing their job and working together you have a TEAM. Just a thought. The interesting thing is I believe Kentucky and Duke have both finished with top 3 classes each of the last three years yet neither one of them is worth a damn this season.

Bama does not remotely have the basketball dollars to spend that Kentucky does. Not even close.

Yeah I'm gonna have to sort of disagree with you there.
Coaching up isn't Cal's strong suit. Getting these kids on campus and rolling the balls out is. I'll take this Bama team, minus Clowney, Miller, Q, and Gurley, against any group of "5 star" 18 year olds Cal wants to put out there.

Because they're Kentucky. I cant blame a kid for going to Kentucky, NC, Duke, Kansas or any of the bb blue bloods. Just like no matter how good of a season Kentucky is having in football, you can't blame a kid for picking Bama. I am thoroughly enjoying this bb season. Bama has the best team probably in my lifetime. But,...I'm not going to get so far out over my skis that I think we are going to start out recruiting the blue bloods on a regular basis.

Probably not on a regular basis, but we had a top 5 class last year. They have turned out to be as good as advertised.

Yea, ...I know we can do it from time to time. Im just not expecting to out recruit the blue bloods consistently. I should have put that in my post. I am enjoying this season though. This is a fun team to watch.
