It's ridiculous to have a season if you're going to cancel games because of contact tracing... come on. Absurd. Although, I'm scared we're going to get brutalized tomorrow so maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing. Lol.
I'd rather play and get brutalized than continue to watch this crap show we still are all participating in. I feel like I am one of the few who realizes that the people with authority to keep us in this bizarro world we've been in since last March have absolutely NO intention of letting go of their grip on every corner of our social existence they have gained.
Just like they planned, we have gotten used to it.
In the meantime we are reducing restrictions at our borders to let people in. Makes no since to me especially in a pandemic. Hopefully life will get back to pre Corona Virus soon.
I've lost two friends this week to COVID. Of course i'm 71 years old, so I have more friends in danger. We have already has three members of the team have to sit out games during the season due to COVID, so we have not been unscathed.
I do not know how many Kentucky players have been exposed, so I don't know if they could have played. Coach Cal needed this game, so it must be serious.

Well, if they're so sick, and we played them hard for 40 minutes Tuesday, how are we OK to play if we are doing this ridiculous "contact tracing" to cancel games?
I understand people are getting sick, but a person under 50 getting very ill with this is extremely rare and we are treating the entire population as if we are nursing home patients. Presumed sick until proven healthy.
I think KY has convenient COVID problems so that don't get that butt kicked by Texas, tomorrow. I do think we beat OU, though. They beat a 5 scholarship Texas team by 1 point.
I do agree with you that many of the rules are nonsensical and do nothing to help. But, I will say I think the main concern with cancelling games is not that the players will get sick and die, but that they will continue to spread it and perhaps infect more people. I do not at all believe this to be a hoax or merely a political power-play... I just want some more logic and consistency implemented in the plan.
That is NEVER going to change. Its that way with literally ANY virus. This is not going away. If you're especially at-risk, wear a mask, get a vaccine (if that makes you feel better) and do whatever else makes you feel safe. But we have never treated a virus like this in the history of the world. And whatever we have done so far has done absolutely NOTHING to slow the spread. Nothing. Virus do what they do and this one is no different. The stuff we're doing is wrecking our nation and doing far more harm than good.
Oklahoma is legit. The nice thing about where we've put ourselves is this is far from a must win. If we win, its a big win over a top 25 team. If we lose, its a loss on the road to a top 15 team which won't hurt us a bit
We live in a hyper political world now that is why the reaction was what it was. The reaction was 99% political evidenced by California lifting its lock downs 5 days after inauguration.
Ever think that the Kentucky players may have gotten it from somebody at Bama?
I've known several people under 50 who have been VERY sick (ICU, ventilator sick) and a some under 50 who have died.

My boss’ wife (40) was in the hospital for 2 weeks and they thought she was going to die. I agree with you that some of the rules don’t make sense... but it sounds like you’re an extremist in the opposite direction
I believe if everyone would just wear their damn mask while driving their car alone, this virus would go away.
And us not going to the football and basketball games didnt do a damn thing to keep her well.
