I recently got a bill from USA health for lab work that showed my insurance had payed approx 5% of the $650 bill. They also showed a 10% insurance adjustment. I contacted my insurance provider and researched my EOB’s to determine that USA health had actually NEVER submitted a claim to my insurance. When I called them they just told me they would resubmit. I shared my story with my HR lady and realized another employee has been experiencing the exact same issue. I can’t help but think this is intentional to mislead patients into believing that the insurances have paid their portion and therefore the balance is the responsibility of the patient.
