Oklahoma is a good, well coached basketball team-- but with them missing two starters, we a have a better team.
We looked beat up, weak, and slow. I think we played hard but we were outhustled and out toughed. Herb and JP
had nine turnovers between them and no one besides Reese and Ellis played up to par. Quinerly had one field goal attempt
and he has to get going again if we are going to do much the rest of the year. Shackelford only had three 3pt. attempts.
This loss is not the end of the world but a great opportunity on the national stage was lost. We have to clean up our offensive
or we are looking at two more losses this coming week.

Also afraid the SEC is not really very strong this season. Conference may get exposed today against Big 12 which is just better.

Bingo. Perfect summary. And for some reason, everyone except Reese has stopped trying to shoot 3s. This is not the same style of play that we are accustomed to seeing.

Shaq and Herb miss too many layup attempts. When Shaq gets the ball, no one else exists. Oats gotta figure out how to get that mojo back.

It really hasn’t. Been a bunch of tough, close games. SEC is fine. Not as strong as the past couple years, but still good.
You are correct Harper, assuming that Baylor and Oklahoma State win and MSU beats ISU we will be tied at 4-4 for the Tennessee vs Kansas game.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

I am not a coach and don't pretend to know all the solutions to our current run. I do know that injuries have impacted our play. My point is injuries do not impact the way we execute on the boards both offensively and while on defense. One poster mentioned we shoot and then turn and run for the other end to get ready for defensive pressure. There has to be a happy medium where someone (s) crash the board and attempt to get a rebound. Watch the rerun and you will see, the Women do the exact same thing, shoot and run the other way.

With our style of play, you make the stops, then you go to the other end and score. I counted 5 stops in a row during the 14:00 minute or so mark in the 2nd half, and all 5 trips down on our end we “WHIFFED “. That’s how you loose playing our style. When we go down on the other end of the floor after STOPS, we have to score.

Tennessee dominating Kansas was surprising as well. Today was a good day for the SEC. The conference is fine I think.

SEC playing well today may end up being more impactful at the end of the year than a Bama win would have (still would’ve loved both).

At this point it seems like Bama’s most important activity is going to be getting everyone healthy and peaking at tournament time. Obviously you don’t want to have a slump, but this team clearly could make some noise if they are playing up to their capabilities, so I would hate to see the team overextend and end up limping into the post season.

I'm mad at our effort today more than the loss. I think this will do wonders though to get us back on track.

This team is different and I'm sure they don't want to have the feeling of losing again after winning 10 straight. This loss will humble us and make us better. Every win streak comes after a loss.

Every game we’ve had inexplicable unforced turnovers. Was waiting for the game we lose by 1-2 possessions when the turnovers actually matter. I mean, Herb tried to pass the ball while he was putting his shoe on and OU was pressing.... wth? We actually outplayed them if you take away the 7 turnovers in the first 10 possessions. Gotta go the film and get it corrected

This. It will eventually come back to bite you. The carelessness and poor ball handling is hard to watch. No one wants to lose but it's better to lose now than later.
