Alabama senior catcher Mac Guscette was selected as a semifinalist for the Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award on Wednesday morning.
Guscette is one of 16 semifinalists in the country, and will be looking to be one of four finalists announced on June 6.
The veteran catcher is the only returning full-time position player on the roster. Currently, he’s batting .333 with 7 doubles, 4 home runs, and 39 RBIs.
