I know it's early and don't want to get my hopes up too much. But I love the way this team plays. Unselfish, hustle, effort, clamp down defense, rebounding and a not give up attitude are a few characteristics that just make me want to yell Roll Tide!

CNO has done a masterful job crafting this roster, and his players are walking the talk. Total team effort. It's fun to watch. Hop on the bus and let's ride the rest of this season.

I agree with what you said, but this team is different in many many ways from last years team.
Last year if the three’s were not falling we were pretty much done, but this years team has been able to look good when the threes are not falling.
This bunch consistently out rebounds teams which is a really nice change.

Early on this team reminds me of those late 80’s and early 90’s teams Coach Sanderson put together that were so athletic with the likes of David Benoit, James Robinson, Robert Horry and Latrell Sprewell.

Listen, I realize that Robert Horry is one of the NBA greats and his 7 NBA Championships is the most by anyone who is not a Celtic and when I throw this comparison out I am only doing so in body types and style of game play, but Clowney reminds me a lot of a freshman “Big Shot Bob”. Clowney is ahead of Horry’s numbers as a freshman, but a lot of that is due to Michael Ansley being such a stud and doing it all on that 88 team compared to this years team having a different star every night.

This team will definitely have some ups and downs, but something definitely seems different with this bunch.

The only starter Saturday afternoon that played any for Bama last year was Bediako. This bunch keeps playing together and they should get better as the season goes on.

Like you other guys l really like this team. As @budog said we can win with defense and rebounding when the shots aren't falling. This has been and should continue to be very important.

It's hard to get excited about college basketball when so many of these guys are one and done. I really hate that the NBA doesn't set a limit on when they can enter the draft similar to the NFL. I'll enjoy the season while it lasts.

We were stupid hot from 3pt range last year. We all knew that wasn’t sustainable. This team has more “dawg” in em and fight and we don’t have to live or die by the 3. Your point is well made though. Gotta stay grounded and focused

I am with you. The way last year’s team collapsed, I’m just taking this team one game at a time. But I am very much hoping they maintain this attitude and effort. If they do, it will be very enjoyable.

The defense and rebounding has been the big difference from last year’s team. It really helps when you get more second chance shots and the other team’s are much more limited.
