Here's a working list of rules for you all that post on The Talk of Champions and on the rest of the message boards. I expect this list to change a little bit as time goes on and you all have some questions or if certain situations arise, but this is a good place to start. If you see a violation of the rules, please click on the "report" button to bring it to the attention of the moderators.
The first rule is the most important: Be civil. If you keep that in mind, everything else should go smoothly.
I don't want this list to grow to dozens of rules, but we can do that if we need to and people continuously try to find loopholes or work around rules. Be respectful.
All the rules that are listed here don't just apply to Talk of Champions, but to other areas of the site. The same rules that apply on the message board also apply to private messages and any other form of communication through the site. You can still use the "report" button on private messages if rules are broken.

MESSAGE BOARD/SITE RULES
1. Respecting the rules, moderators, and other posters on the message board is of the utmost importance. Before posting anything, remember there is a human on the other end of the conversation. Don’t post anything that you wouldn’t say to someone in person.
2. Strictly limit profanity and vulgarity. Keep language PG-13, and avoid swearing wherever possible. Just because it doesn’t offend you doesn’t mean it doesn’t offend another poster.
4. Some off-topic discussion is allowed on The Talk of Champions, but be reasonable and try and keep it related to sports or Alabama in some way. TideSports is a community for Alabama fans. That’s what The Talk of Champions is for.
5. Do not post unsubstantiated rumors on the message boards. If you have a news tip, email the staff at moderators@tidesports.com.
6. Commercial posts on TideSports.com are not allowed without permission. If you’d like to advertise with the site, contact moderators@tidesports.com. No spam of any type will be permitted.
7. Trolling is not permitted. Posters who repeatedly troll will receive bans. Posters who make negative and caustic contributions to the boards will not be permitted.
8. Attacks on individual players and coaches are not permitted. Criticizing players and coaches is perfectly fine; being abusive towards players or coaches is unacceptable. Do not post sensitive or private information about the lives of players or coaches, particularly harmful rumors.
9. Do not post premium information from TideSports on other sites. Do not post premium information from other sites on TideSports. Information that is exclusive and content generated on other sites will not be allowed to remain on the boards.

- Zero tolerance for threats or suggestions of violence, whether it's against a poster on the boards or just a random person. Don't even joke about it. This isn't the place to do it.
- No pornography or obscene material will be allowed. This includes links, photos, videos, gifs, signatures or any other material.
- Racism, sexism, and other discrimination or harassment of another individual or group will not be allowed.
- Targeting or bullying an individual poster is not permitted. Do not bait other posters into an attack. If this happens, it is likely both parties will be disciplined.

- Appropriate requests for charity will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please email ben@tidesports.com to request making a post for a specific charity.
