According to ESPN, Lee's first SEC offer was from Rick Ray at Miss St. - a week later, UGA offered and then UAB, followed by UA in October 2013. Wichita State gave Lee an offer a week after UA.
The young man chose UAB and I have no idea why, BUT any rumor that UA did not attempt to sign William Lee is incorrect.
