Such a hard question to answer as every guy on this team seems to have bought into their role. Sears is the right answer but you could really say it about this entire group of guards. A UK fan on Rupps Rafters was bragging on Q last night given his acceptance of a lesser role. Said he couldn't imagine what would happen if Cal sat one of his precious 5 stars. If you had to vote for a team MVP right now, who would it be? My vote would have to be Sears right now. Miller is more talented but has not been as consistent. Clowney would be third.
yep, it don't matter. How great it it to have so many to choose from! RTR!!!
That's what I love about this team. Sears has been lights out this year but so has several of the other guys too. That's kinda why I ask the question. It's not easy to just pick one. The team chemistry is best I have ever seen and Its fun to watch.Sears, but this is a real team effort. I think the positive chemistry and TEAM effort is why we are doing so well. If someone on the bench is responsible for this, then that person is MVP. Knowing your role and being a team guy as a backup is very important.
Very good post. For me it would have to be co-MVPs. Sears is the most consistent, but Miller draws the most attention. The questions is: If Sears drew the same attention as Miller, would he be as consistent? Also, Miller doesn't take as many shots as Sears. Clowney has the uniqueness to show up at just the right time. It may be a basket/rebound/or a blocked shot to get things rolling.
Good thread OP.
