Teams are literally 'licking their chops' to get a piece of us.........can you blame them?
Saban keeps mouthing, 'problems are fixable'.......WRONG!!!!! You can't fix " big, fat, slow,
can't bend" for offensive tackles.......it's truthfully called 'lack of talent. The ability to "coach that up" is limited, sadly. it's been tried countless times.
Let me put it another way......you can dress up a pig, put lipstick and makeup on it, but it's
STILL a pig. The bottom line: lack of real, honest-to-goodness talent along the offensive line.
Our OL are getting their big asses, 'handled' and pushed around pretty good.....to any doubters, i
would suggest that you consult with a really good opthamologist, IMMEDIATELY, if not sooner.
I'd also boldly venture to say that it's at least 70% of our offensive (including QB) problems are due
to that. When I think of all the truly great linemen we've been blessed with over the last 17-18 years, starting with Andre Smith, I could go 'on and on', I'm truly saddened by the recollection.....I'm quite sure that I'm not alone.
QUARTERBACK PLAY: I'm not saying Ty Simpson is a better QB than J. Milroe, but he truly is a better passer. His 'mechanics' are better......a quicker, smoother, more compact release....he's also more consistent with his accuracy......if you pay attention to those kind of details, you would notice that Milroe has a tendency to 'cock' the ball, resulting in a longer release......one of the details that make Bryce Young so effective (and reliably accurate).....his quick, compact release. As I ventured, I'm not saying Simpson is a better QB, but he is the better passer.
Saban better get "his act together", or retire.......Joe Paterno. Bobby Bowden, etc. didn't know "when" by about 5 years.
