Players for not giving the effort on the defensive end. He said he'll go with the 5 guys that go the hardest on defense and figure the offense out with those 5. Looks like he's about had it with this team just like us fans. So much potential on the team and they've showed they can beat and play with any team in college.

Holt definitely deserves more minutes from somebody. Best basketball IQ on the team. Good rebounder. Boxes out. Good shooter. Good Passer. No turnovers. He is very under-rated as a player.

I don’t think any of them suck and they all have something unique to contribute. I’m just saying if we’re truly prioritizing defense then Miles and JD cannot play. They have plenty to offer in other areas.

JD is our biggest liability on defense. Shack gives the effort but simply isn’t a great on ball defender and the same is true of miles. Miles is actually a pretty strong help defender. We simply don’t have a 1 or 2 that can lock down a quick point guard. Keon is by far our best on ball defender but he’s 1 guy..

JD sucks on close outs, plays with his hands down, and doesn’t seem to comprehend his responsibility on the defensive end. I truly think he cares I just think his head has spun most of the season.

Again… not picking on him, but almost every open three was on a failure to close out from JD. Just really, really bad defensively. Most of that is just being a freshman and not understanding how hard you’ve got to play every single possession at this level.
