He definitely accentuated the positives ( big wins at the beginning ).I am incredibly disappointed in Nate this year. Instead of taking responsibility for this teams shortcomings, he seems to deflect and claim they had a good year.
Culture is an issue it seems? And that starts at the top. When the head coach blames the players publicly for every loss, you’re culture will suffer tremendously.
Rick PitinoYep, you’re right. Let’s fire the guy. Who do you have in mind?
Rick Pitino
I’m not saying fire him. I’m saying he needs to learn a little more than he thinks he needs to. Take some time off from being the teacher and be the student.Yep, you’re right. Let’s fire the guy. Who do you have in mind?
Our football program is in DEEP shit for next year thenCulture is an issue it seems? And that starts at the top. When the head coach blames the players publicly for every loss, you’re culture will suffer tremendously.
That’s Nick Saban. You’re beyond clueless if you compare Saban to Oats. Nick Saban has earned the right to say what he wants. He’s constantly taking up for his players. When he says anything remotely negative about the players, it’s usually after a win and he’s making a point. He doesn’t run around blaming the players every time he loses. And if anybody has ever earned the right to do that, he has. Nate Oats has not earned that right. Our football program is in DEEP shit for next year then

That’s what oats said..Tidesports just posted an article on Twitter that said JQ was the only player who attended a voluntary shoot around last night and only 3 players attended a voluntary shoot around this morning. Hmmmmm? There is a serious problem somewhere inside that program.
Avery Johnson is availableYep, you’re right. Let’s fire the guy. Who do you have in mind?
At least the players would run through a brick wall for him…. We might suck ass but they’d beat the shit out of a brick wallAvery Johnson is available
Maybe nobody likes JQ??Tidesports just posted an article on Twitter that said JQ was the only player who attended a voluntary shoot around last night and only 3 players attended a voluntary shoot around this morning. Hmmmmm? There is a serious problem somewhere inside that program.
Funny how Shack, a guy who seemed awfully close to not returning last season, and Gurley, a leader at Furhman who vanished in t-town, were so quick to announce their return 3 weeks ago. Could it be they have no use for Q?Maybe??
Could be??? It is hard figure out but there is a snake in the woodpile for sureFunny how Shack, a guy who seemed awfully close to not returning last season, and Gurley, a leader at Furhman who vanished in t-town, were so quick to announce their return 3 weeks ago. If my boss asked me to show up to work on monday and I didn't, that's on me. Has nothing to do with my boss. If I come to work and don't do my job, that's on me not my boss. And yes I believe my boss has every reason to call me out. If he doesn't, I keep doing the same thing. There is nothing wrong with holding people accountable. The reason a lot of young people act the way they do today is because no one holds them accountable anymore. It's easier to coddle them and baby them and give them everything they want instead of holding them accountable. If you baby them they will remain a baby.Players will run through a brick wall for a coach they admire and respect. No-showing is an indication of our players true feelings toward Oats IMO. I really can’t blame them because of the way he throws them under the bus after virtually every loss. He did it again today with these comments. They served no purpose and should’ve been left unsaid.
Totally agree, my Bama brother! Classic behavioral theory teaches it's "consequences" for actions and choices we make that shape behavior not "antecedents!" My dad always told me not to speed. However, it was not until I got a ticket ($104 that I had to pay when I was 18!) that I really started watching the Speed Limit. As a leader, we get the behaviors we accept! If my boss asked me to show up to work on monday and I didn't, that's on me. Has nothing to do with my boss. I couldn’t agree with you more!I am incredibly disappointed in Nate this year. Instead of taking responsibility for this teams shortcomings, he seems to deflect and claim they had a good year.
I’ll take that betThis is so much like 2013 with football with some of you guys, ready to call it for Saban. Oats just took a mixed bunch of guys, made them buy in to his system and swept the SEC. Ive said he needs to do better in half court offense but damn the dude has a top 5 class coming in that will fill immediate holes. Yall have gotta let him stack some classes before you start calling for his job. Id bet some of yall never have touched a fn basketball in your life.
