I have never been one to bang the drum for firing a coach but this baseball season has been a total disappointment. We are in danger of not making the SEC tournament which is played at our home field for this season. Getting swept at home this past weekend was embarrassing. This was a team that was picked to finish 2nd in the SEC behind LSU and who started the season ranked in the top 25. Now we probably won't even make our conference tournament much less the NCAA's.
I rode by the construction of the new stadium this weekend and it is going to be a very nice and impressive facility. It will be a great place to watch baseball here in Tuscaloosa and its been a long time coming. Our new facility and our fans deserve a better product than we are getting on the field. It's time for a change!
