He needs another year of I’m advising him… he has hit a wall and his outside shot has disappeared.
He need a strong finish to get in the conversation for the draft
I agree. IMO, he needs one more year; however, I do not know his personal situation and he may need to go out of necessity. Having said that, I believe if he worked on his craft and stayed one more year, he would definitely improve on his draft status.

Last season UCLA freshman Peyton Watson did next to nothing during the regular season for the Bruins but what he did was good enough to get him drafted 30th overall and a 4 year 11 million dollar contract.
Now look at Josh Hart. Never heard of him have you? Me either until I checked to see who the 30th pick was in the 2017 NBA draft. He is relevant to this conversation because he recently signed his SECOND NBA contract which was for almost $38 million over 3 seasons.

If he were my son I'd tell him to go get paid and develop under the assistance of NBA personnel. Not come back to Bama and risk injury in the season opener against Tullahoma State.

He is probably getting a decent paycheck from yea, Alabama NIL. So he has good options … right now he has so much potential and enough to get drafted

Is this the norm or an anomaly?

If he goes out now he will probably spend the majority of next season in the developmental league; he will be leaving a lot of money on the table; has a chance to be a high lottery next year if stays and works to get his shot down! All bets are off if he goes off like McDyess did years ago in the tourney.

I know a lot of people say he needs to work on his shot or work on this and that it’s not at an NBA level yet. Of course it’s not, but last I checked, the G League and NBA had some really really good coaches as well. Staying a year won’t be much different than learning in the GL or NBA. It all depends on money and draft status

Maybe we should all get together and take up a collection. We could offer him an NIL deal to be a poster on this board. l got a spare $20.00.

All jokes aside l would love to see him return next year.

I think he is gone.

I wonder if it crosses a player’s mind that if he shows out in college in his sophomore year vs being average in the developmental league, which league has the better opportunity to get him paid more money?
