His first game was forgettable and his second was unviewable by 90% of us. This offense is good but it's downright unstoppable with a big man hitting threes (see midseason Bama prior to Bruner's injury last season). For those of you who actually saw the game Friday, is Gurley the best option to fill that role??

about the first half of game 2 felt a lot like game 1. Then he started feeling it mid way through the game and showed some real promise. Looked really well rounded with an impressive block, driving the lane, one or two nice dunks and one three. Not sure I would say he was incredible in any one area but very well rounded with 2 or 3 wow plays

I don't think he played poorly, he had some nice plays but that's why CNO has options off the bench.
We will see in a few games when the rotation gets down to 8 or so players.

The big block really seemed to get him going and I didn’t know he had that in him. He was very good from that point on in the game.

IMO, I don’t see another big with his combination of size/skill/movement (Gary moves great and has more power, but isn’t as skilled) on the team and if plays like he did late in the last game then Bama will be in good shape there.

In my mind he is a more athletic Reese type skilled 4. If he is hitting shots then he should start, if not then Bama might be better off with Gary starting, but we need them both.

Hopefully he will settle in. He looks as skilled as Bruner but he looks a good bit more athletic to me. I think his best days are coming. I don’t think Bruner came out looking like he belonged last season.

No you are right. I remember watching Bruner hobble up the floor and thinking "where does this guy fit in?" Then it seemed like he hit his stride in SEC play until he messed his knee up against UK and was never the same.
