Ziyare Addison picked up an offer from Alabama on March 20. He visited Tuscaloosa on March 8th and said he didn't think Alabama was the right place for him and he wouldn't be taking a return trip. He still picked up an offer from Chris Kapilovic.
"He offered me and loved how I can play [with] 1-5, long arms with a 36.5 inch and how I run the 200 and 100 in track and wrestle."
On where Bama stands after being offered: "[They're in] a close race for 13th place, with Alabama currently tied with USC. Since the coaching staff is new, it's important for me to get to know them better and establish a strong connection with them." Addison's top 12 includes Oregon, Tennessee, Miami, Oklahoma, Stanford, Florida State, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Penn State, Nebraska and UCLA.
On what's important in recruitment:
"A strong coaching staff connection is definitely a priority for me when choosing a school. It's important to find a coaching staff that believes in my potential and can help me develop into the best offensive tackle I can be at the college level. Beyond that, I'm also looking for a program with a strong academic reputation and a winning tradition. Knowing I can excel both on and off the field is important to me."
