100%. Teams have clearly decided to run us off the 3 point line and we are just saying “oh well we’ll do it another way.” The problem is we really can’t afford to do it another way. I mean we play good defense so that keeps us in any game but if we are realistic our chances of making a deep tournament run without getting petty, primo, and shack good looks from 3 are very slim. How many good looks have those 3 gotten over the last 4-5 games?I’d like to know his take on the offensive structure. I know it’s more complicated that it looks at times. But so many times we bring it down the court and no movement or passes and play 1 on 1. And we just don’t have the guard to do that right now. JQ can break things down at times. But nobody else can break the D down and get our shooters open. We need to get our shooters open in the half court somehow. I think JQ is the key to this whole thing down the stretch. We need him to get back going. He can finish at the rim better than anyone we have and he can get inside the D and force help. We need that as much as we need anything.

there has to be a way to attack the way teams have played us of late besides driving and taking difficult shots, it has felt line we are playing 5 on 7 in our half court offense. Teams are packing the paint but also not crashing to prevent kick out passes to the shooters
maybe the issue is Bruner being out giving us no real threat of anyone to feed down low when guarded tight beyond the arc. I really don’t know. @Harper41 do you have thoughts on this? Teach me something
So in other words if donta hall played in this team we would win the national championship? If teams play high and run off shooters it opens drives, then we need a rim runner to punish the bigs when they step up to help cover the initial drive/blow-by...that creates and simple 2 on 1 and if the guards drop inside to cover the rim runner, then it opens a kick out...basketball is still basics
I think He’s got a mental cloud hanging over him . He’s got to overcome that before he accomplishes anything on the court . I agree with what you said though .I’d like to know his take on the offensive structure. I know it’s more complicated that it looks at times. We don’t really run 5 out. We literally just stand there and drive and kick. But teams have just started taking away the kick and making us beat them on the drive. There’s very limited motion. It’s almost like zone offense.Lol...“5 out” works too (like CNO wants), if your big stays outside and can knock down shots to punish an opposing big for rotating down...the problem has been lately that Bama’s “stretch” bigs aren’t shooting well (2 for 12 today), so there is no penalty for sagging inside.
