Oats on Nimari Burnett: 'He's getting real close'

During his Friday press conference, Nate Oats hinted at a potential return for Nimari Burnett.

"He's got the cast and brace off. He's had a bit of a heavy tape job, but shoot we're going to see how he responds," Oats said.

I think Oats shares your opinion. No doubt would love to have a defensive stopper who is accustomed to playing big games against Oklahoma.

We'll certainly be glad to get this young man back. l must give credit to Bradley though for taking some of the sting out of losing him. Bradley has really played well and it will be great to have all 4 of Sears, Burnett, Bradley, and JQ for our guards. Lot of good depth there.

Burnett will have to be worked back into fighting shape. If/when Welch gets his game going, Bama will be a tough out!
