Just an observation, very possible this news on Wichita State putting together an "enhanced offer" is just breaking late, but if they are just now getting started trying to put together an offer to keep him, that's a good sign for Alabama in my opinion.
Obviously they, unlike most of their fans, considers Alabama to be a threat. At least they do now, if they didn't the past few days. The thinking though is that an offer from them is going to be more symbolic. They're not going to be able to touch Bama's offer financially, unless the Koch brothers are going to pitch in $2 million a year to help. On top of that, some of the other things Bama offers is stuff they just can't (TV, brand recognition, budget). Considering it is most likely symbolic, the fact that they're just starting to work on that two days after Alabama offered him the job, can't sit to well with Marshall. Put yourself in his shoes and think about that.
Maybe too little, too late. A lot of variables still in play, but just another thing to consider. If they valued him as much as they portray to the public, that "enhanced offer" would have been presented already.
