The loss of Burnett really hurts in several ways! ( The curse continues) How does the playing rotation
play out now? I know Holt is probaly not ready to contribute much but give me your top
eight. Mine would look like: Quinerly-Shackelford- Davidson-Ellis--Gurley
Gary will have to be good. Bediako is not ready ye t. Tchikou got to get well. And who
knows about Miles.

We're down to 6 guys that I feel good about - JQ, JD, Ellis, Shack, Gary, and Gurley. Bediako and Tchikou were highly rated, but have reportedly been struggling in workouts thus far. KAH and Miles didn't give us much last year and we're gonna need at least one of them to step up into a bigger role. I'm with you on Holt. I think he's more of a project than an immediate contributor. Hopefully some of the guys for whom expectations are low will surprise us all. They'll need to if we're going to make a deep run in the tourney.

The loss definitely hurts but it gives us a chance to tighten up the rotation. Between JQ, JD, Shaq, Ellis and Miles the guard rotation become alot clearer. The loss of Burnette hurts because like Ellis he could slide down and give us minutes at the three and four spots much like Petty last year. The loss hurts also because our guard lineup will often times be undersized which will hurt some on the defensive end. The loss of Burnette should benifit Miles the most. His progression along with that of Bedioko and Frenchie will be the key to this teams success. There will definitely be a little drop off from last year, but this team still has a chance to be special .

Holt was a top 100 ranked player is some rankings, so I assume he’s more than and wait and see player. Not saying he will def be ready, but seems many are just assuming he isn’t going to be ready based on a few people saying it before this all happened

I have to admit, due to a few things I have read on this board, that Holt was not, probably, ready to be a major contributor this season. Hopefully, that is not true, because what we really need to replace Burnett is a really good shooter. I have heard Holt is a very good shooter, though I have to see it in games before I believe it since I have heard this about players in the past where this ended up not true. Miles is athletic, and JD is super athletic, but neither has been known to be top level shooters, which is what we really need, especially in Oats offense. I really hope Holt can fill that role.
