OT: Speed Trap Northport

I know this is off topic but needs to be addressed.
The area is on 5th St./Rice Mine Road btw Bridge Ave and 10th Ave. I'm not sure when the speed limit was changed but I believe it was 35mph before. It is a school zone and there is a sign that may flash 25mph during school drop-off/pick-up times although there is a regular 25mph sign located near by also. There is also a 35mph sign close by in the same area. My wife was stopped there a while back on a Sunday Afternoon near the bridge on Rice Mine Road going 40mph just before where it changes to 45mph. As she pointed at the 45mph sign, she told the cop that she was doing 35mph and had just begun accelerating to 45mph. He was quick to let her know that this was a 35mph zone and back near the school where he claimed to have clocked her it was 25mph. She told him that she thought it was only 25mph during school hours. He told her no that it was 25mph all the time. I think most people believe this is a 35mph zone except during school hours when it is 25mph but it is not. Today there were 2 cops on motorcycles that had 2 different people pulled over at around 6:30pm. Just wanted to give people the heads up and possibly get someone involved in the matter that has some pull in Northport.
