OT: UCLA / Michigan

I’m watching but I’m not sure why bc it makes me sick. I almost made a thread. We will have more talented teams...but we won’t have an easier path to the final four than we just had.

Agreed. I couldn’t watch the first half as it make me sick. Both decent look bad tonight.

That was a tough loss to UCLA. I think we had the best team in the bracket, but we didn’t finish at the line. The good news is we have the right guy leading the program. If you told me we would make it to the Sweet 16 before the season started I would have taken it. Looking forward to next year and hopefully we will make it further.

FFS I can’t believe we lost to UCLA! I knew Michigan was capable of bed shitting and we would have been due a hot night. FREE THROWS DAMMIT

Side note, Juzang is a hell of a player and Gonzaga is going to ravage whoever they play anyway

But no matter what, whoever wins tonight, wins a beating.
This is what I had come to realize ..

The Zags are built different.

That being said I tried to make myself feel better saying neither UCLA or Bama will be able to handle UMich’s bigs.. and that maybe I was underestimating the bracket

UCLA doesn’t get enough credit for being a good defensive team...

UCLA has some of the best free throw defense I’ve ever seen.

BYU season: 37% from 3 and 73% FT
BYU v UCLA: 18% from 3 and 56% FT

Bama season: 35% from 3 and 71% FT
Bama v UCLA: 25% from 3 and 44% FT

Mich season: 38% from 3 and 77% FT
Mich v UCLA: 27% from 3 and 55% FT
Yes😂

Don’t discount the reduction each team saw from the three point line that faced the bruins

UCLA was pretty hot from threes compared to Bama also. But to choke it at the FT line was the last place I thought Bama would lose the game from.

Bill Walton had to have done some serious talking to the spirit in the sky to speak this into existence. The chances that this happens in all 3 of these games is next to impossible.

I think UCLA is just simply a lot better than they were seeded. They stumbled in their last 4 coming into the tournament but now you look at it and it was against Colorado, Oregon state, Oregon, and USC who ended up all looking pretty damn good in the tournament. They figured it out at halftime of their first 4 game and haven’t looked back.

That said they are in for a booty blasting Saturday.

Very good defensive team with good depth. But most importantly, playing with house money so not playing scared basketball. We played scared and without energy so that'll get you once you're down to teams playing their best basketball. And we still went to ot, so just sickening basically.

This is what I was saying; Harper and a few others got on me for saying this. Just make your FT and Bama likely beats Michigan on their way to their first ever Final Four. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Agreed. We played the same game we played against Iona. We played not to lose rather than playing to win. UCLA is just better than Iona so they beat us. We would've lost to a lot of teams round 1 but luckily we played a low seed.
