Nick Saban: "I was really proud of the way our players played in the second half we just didn't finish the last four minutes of the game like we'd like to and we're all really disappointed."
Saban said he told his players after the game that this was one of the most amazing seasons in Alabama football history in terms of where this team came from.
Saban: "I think this team improved from the South Florida game and the Texas game early in the season as much as any team I've ever coached."
Jalen Milroe: "We have a lot of things we can be proud of from this season."
Saban: "There were a couple of times where we could've redirected the protection, which we put on the O-Line to a certain degree and we didn't do it."
Saban: "I thought we did a better job in the second half but we didn't give Jalen or our receivers enough opportunities."
Saban said Alabama called three plays during the final sequence: One when Michigan called timeout, one when Alabama called timeout and a third that didn't work.
Saban: "Tommy said the best thing we could do was a quarterback run." "We didn't get a block so it didn't work."
Milroe on the final play: "You win some you lose some that's all part of the game."
Milroe on the QB-center exchange: "With anything it takes preparation... the quarterback and the center have to have a great relationship and that's something we've tried to build throughout.
Saban: "I think both specialists did a really good job."
Saban: "Will [Reichard] made some huge kicks."
Saban: "We didn't play well enough on defense when we needed two and we had too many drive-stopping plays on offense."
Saban: "We could have done things better and that's on me it's on the coaches. It's not on anyone else."
