From backcourt to frontcourt...
Ingram -- Great to see him out there again. Unique skill set, nightmare for anyone to match up with.
Collins -- Foul trouble. Don't think he played to the level he has practiced so far.
AJ Jr. -- Seemed really out of sorts in the first half. Played better in the second half. Probably just "here and there" minutes.
Davis -- Lots of people are excited about him. I still want to see more. Shots he got vs. Faulkner may. not be there vs. a Dayton. He's not a pull-up off the bounce shooter. Has to be set, especially with a little hitch in his shooting motion.
King -- Thought he was good when the action was flowing, not so much in half court sets. Remember they are using him totally differently than Memphis did -- they had him on the block as often as not.
Norris -- Played as he usually does. Some good stuff and some occasions where he gets out-athleted, or will when it's not Faulkner.
Austin -- Hurt knee, couldn't tell. May have a tough time cracking rotation.
Hale -- Didn't play much. Shot it pretty well. Had one great step and spin finish. Team will need his scoring.
Key -- For years, people have grumbled about Alabama having "great athletes who didn't have great basketball sense." Braxton is the guy they've been looking for -- a good athlete but has that "knows how to play." Reminds me of the guys you see at Xavier and Villanova. Good vision, good passer, good hands. I don't think the 0-for-3 from the line will be a long-term issue.
Bola -- Played pretty well. As with all of the bigs, it was actually hard to tell because Faulkner didn't have much inside.
Taylor -- Some good things, including a fine drop-step dunk. Still needs to be more active on the glass.
Hall -- One monster block. Fouled everything that moved in some stretches. Again, not really his style of opponent.
I think that's everyone. Just some instant impressions. Other opinions welcome.
