Coming off a disappointing end to the Players Era Tournament championship game, you had to wonder the focus level Alabama would have going to Chapel Hill. I'd say they were extremely locked in as they thumped North Carolina and the game was rarely ever close. I thought this was the most complete game that the Tide have played all season on both ends of the floor. You saw guys like Mark Sears, Aden Holloway, and Labaron Philon have big games. You also saw guys like Houston Mallette give good minutes, Cliff Omoruyi have his best game of the season, and Jarin Stevenson build off his strong showing at the Players Era.
This is still a very deep team even without Latrell Wrightsell, and will only get deeper when Chris Youngblood returns next Saturday against Creighton (who just beat #1 Kansas). They're not playing up to their potential, but you also don't want to peak in early December. There will be some bumpy stretches, but there's no doubt this team can with a national title.
