I am all for replay review; however, does every out of bounds call or basket have to be reviewed. Officials make mistakes every other call, but we are stopping the game every 20 seconds in the last two minutes of the game, for three minutes at a stretch to review, even the most obvious, out of bounds call. The official review has gone to the extreme.

If the official blew the call in the last two minutes, what is the difference between a blown call at the 9:59 mark of the game and a blown call at the 1:42 mark, of the game? I would submit nothing is different. The replay review needs to be changed. I would submit, do away with the referee review, add one timeout for the coaches, and give the coach two reviews a game. If the review is favorable the coach keeps the timeout and if unfavorable he losses a timeout. Fouls can even be reviewed, just like the NBA. Presently a goal tending, presently is reviewed at the next timeout and if overruled the team losses the two points even if they got the rebound. Presently, if a goal tending is called and the offensive team gets the rebound, if the goal tending is overturned, it is alternating possession is called, regardless of what happened.

An official making a goal tending call can effectively, accidentally change the course of the game, with a goal tending call. In the first Florida game at Tuscaloosa, two goal tending calls against Florida were overturned, at stoppages of play and Alabama had points taken off the board. Each time Alabama got the rebound, which is effectively a possible 8 or 10 point shift in the game.

That game effectively denied Alabama a number one seed. All it takes is for a coach to hold up his hand and rotate the finger and their is an immediate.
