Here is why:
1. LSU simply WILL NOT move the ball on us consistently enough. LSU offense is decent to ok, at best.
2. LSU QB is not a great passer and not very mobile. TO beat Bama, you have to have pin-point accuracy or be able to run out of trouble. This QB is neither those. The LSU has not remotely seen the kind of pressure he will see Saturday. LSU QB would have to have the game of his life and I just don't see him doing that against an NFL defense.
3. LSU OL will not be able to block our guys. I'm looking for near double digit sacks.
4. Fournette is simply not a factor without blocking. Look for a similar day from him as last year. If Fournette gets over 100 yards it will be a major individual effort on his part.
When I hear people say the LSU game is going to be close. I interpret that as "Bama offense will struggle". Because there is NO WAY LSU is going to move the ball. Any other points by them will have to come from fumbles, defensive points, or special teams. If someone says LSU is going to move the ball, they simply have been watching a different football team than I have because I find those statements crazy. I'd like to hear the people scared of LSU explain HOW they are going to move the ball against an NFL front 7. That's is the part they can't do.
As for our offense, I'll admit I never what to expect from week to week. With Hurts passing being off and Kiffin's bi-polar tendencies, don't know what we'll see. But I do think well be rested, focused, and hopefully improved passing from Hurts. Sounds like they have been working with him in that area. Even if Hurts is off some, we'll still be able to get enough running yards to win the game. Especially toward the end of the game when LSU defense has been on the field all game. Also look for the defense to score another TD. A INT or a fumble from the QB when we sack him (often).
Halftime score: 14-6
Final: 35-13
