So a 30% 3 point shooter with a negative assist/turnover ratio? I was hoping we could do better than that, but pickings are getting pretty slim.

This may be the type guy we bring in as #13… I still think we will find a guy that can come in and start or playing major minutes for us as a 3 or 4. Big one in the portal yesterday Mathew Mayor from Baylor. 6’9” PF, very strong defender, hard nosed player, was better in 2021 on their national championship team as their 6/7th man than he was last year… didnt quite take the step forward you would expect as a starter last year but regardless, he would be huuuuuge pickup. He’ll be one of the top portal pickups for whoever lands him. Only 32% from 3 last year but a guy that can catch fire and stretches the floor bc he can knock that shot down(40% in 2021). He would start at the 4 for us and allow Miller to play the 3 which is his best spot.. not getting my hopes up but there are still a lot of good options out there

I feel like Mayor is a perfect example of a kid using the transfer portal to improve his NIL worth. Does he really want to leave Butler or does he want 300 other schools to know he is a free agent?
