Rivals150 No. 29 Charles Bediako Commits (Highlights)

From what I've read he will be a great fit as a true 6'11'' length big that can run up and down the way Bama plays. We lost Jordan Bruner and Alex Reese, so I think we desperately needed a rim protector/rebounder. Sounds like IMG was good for him to put on some weight, get more comfortable in the post, and start to become a pick and pop guy which he'll need to do in Tuscaloosa. I feel like Frenchy Tchikou and Bediako will both play a good bit. Juwan Gary is a player I really enjoyed this year and still an important piece, but at 6'6'' asking him to play as our primary 5 is asking a lot.
It's just awesome Bama is recruiting at this level and I believe Bediako will help us be a preseason top 10 team and picked to be SEC champ again.

Donta Hall like to me at first glance. Lots of dunks, rebounds and blocked shots. Teams with big men won't be able to bully us as much with guys like that. He and Frenchie add great height, although it seems like Tchikou was more of a perimeter guy. Look forward to the new additions. Still want Burnett.

He looks like he will need to hit the weight room to get stronger and more explosive. Which of course at a program like Alabama, that shouldn't be a problem. Oats I am sure will work on his shooting; I am only assuming it needs some work due to not seeing it in the highlights. A player his size with the ability to step out 10-15 feet from the basket could be tough to stop.

Gary may be 6'6", but with a 7 foot wingspan he plays much bigger. I may be in the minority, but right now I'm more comfortable with him at the 5 than 2 guys who've never played in a college game yet.

yea! If he can get to the size of the Baylor bigs it will be awesome indeed. Looks pretty mobile, how’s his shot making?

The first 12 footer he makes will be in your honor my friend.

Please come back again in December.

Gary's athleticism allows him to still get vertical while preventing the other teams big from bodying him up. Bruner seemed to get abused at times by smaller guys who knew how to use their weight.

Bediako is about 215 now but with his shoulders he could handle 20 more lbs without slowing him down. Conjecture of course.

Next years team will be a gagillion times better in the front court. That 4-5 man rotation down low looks nasty with great size... and the small guy of the bunch of a magician of a rebounder

Just think, Bediako and Gary down low together will give us a formidable front court!

I agree with you. You were so adamant, I challenged you just to open the door for good things from the new guys.
