Somebody splain it to me

am I supposed to believe that this game was so much different than the Arky game? Arky shot 43 ft’s. LSU shoots 13 Bama 5. same refs. What am I missing?
You are so looking through your Crimson glasses… LSU had 13 team fouls… Alabama had 15 team fouls… What is the problem? They let them play, which I will guarantee you, is what the players love

I prefer this type of game....I hate hearing a whistle every time down the court and watching free throws. The defender should be able to get away with some body.
To some extent I agree, however, I am more of a fan of free movement on the court like we have now. It forces defenders to be good at defending instead of being able to grab and hold.

I grew up in the 90s, the way the game was called back then allowed for slower less skilled players to stay on the court because they could get away with fouling to defend.

Also, today's game played more into the hands of LSU. Alabama is an excellent defensive team and good defensive teams don't foul a lot. LSU is a bad defensive team so being able to foul allowed them to play better D than they are accustomed to playing.

crimson glasses? I’m talking about the disparity between the Arky game and today’s game. Pay attention

They are slower on the whistles a lot of times in big games. But today was extreme at times. I’m good with all the banging down low. But when somebody goes up for a layup and gets raked across the arm...probably needs to be called. But I prefer this over tons of fouls being called any day.

Agree I hate constant touch fouls being called away from the basket, but at times today it was a mix of hockey and basketball lol. Nothing got called around the basket. Both teams got away with a good many fouls. I prefer that to over officiating though

No ur clearl wrong with ur post! Not even in same stratosphere! They let them play today which I truly respect. The officials obviously talk before and went in with mentality of let them decide on court which was total opposite of Arkansas game! So absolutely no

Today reminded me of a 90’s physical nba game which is awesome! So a post where someone said this type of game favors LSU, ur totally wrong! This type of officiating favors bama every time with there defense

They did of tremendous job of playing super physical, but nothing getting out of hand especially for what happened before game! And called it even! The refs get an a+ for me today for someone whose refereed for 20 years

‘absolutely no on what? What am I wrong about? Read the post! It sounds like you are saying what I’m saying. Essentially, the same game was played at Arkansas so let em play like today! Good grief!
