Cecil's article on Spurrier was spot on. Time is the true enemy, not the media. When I watched Spurrier's "rant" as it has been called, it seemed to me SS was trying to convince himself that he still had what it took to coach. I have always liked and admired the old ball coach. He is good for college football and is always entertaining. The thing that concerns me with SS is that he is going to end up like Bobby Bowden and Mack Brown and not know when it is time to step away from the game. As Cecil said in his article, Bear Bryant knew when it was time for him to step away. I wish Bear could have had more of a life after football, but one thing is for certain; there was only one Bear Bryant!!
