I think this game came down to the hole we dug in the first half. UConn played tough defense that created some of it. The numbers are really similar. our numbers weren’t bad except for turnovers. They were just a little better in a few categories. They beat us with intense defense that limited our shot attempts & free throws.

We all knew that we had to cut down on our turnovers to be able to beat the UConn type opponents. Last night we didn’t, and we see how that played out. UConn had the script that we knew we needed:
1) Great defense
2) Shoot the ball well, especially from the FT line.
3) Limited turnovers.

The recipe to playing winning BB against top tier opponents. We know it, now we just have to consistently do it ourselves. Unfortunately, that is easier said than done.

He hasn't found his groove yet. He may be trying too hard. If he can recapture his last season form and gels with his team mates, I think we'll be fine.
