....refusing the offer to return if that is what happened. There aren't many coaches who would walk away if given the opportunity to return. Even if they realize the fans are extremely unhappy with him and the results on the court (or field) had been much less than stellar. In fact, some unsuccessful coaches lash out at the University and fans when given their pink slip. It appears as though Grant was ready to move on and was as unhappy with his situation and in his job as we were with him. I cringe when I think of what could have happened when Battle gave him the choice.

A very good and classy man who ran a clean program and graduated his players - if they didn't transfer. But he simply was not cut out for the job here.
